The Union Church of Santo Domingo

About Us

We members of Epiphany/Union Church come together in response to the love God has shown to all creation through his Son Jesus Christ. Our purpose is to worship God joyfully, thanking and praising him with all our heart, and to serve God faithfully, trying to live our daily lives in accord with his will. Our church unites in one congregation a distinctive combination of languages, cultures and denominational traditions. We are Spanish- and English-speaking, as well as French- and Creole-speaking. We are Dominican, American, Haitian, and European etc. The Church of the Epiphany is Episcopal (Anglican) and Union Church is an ecumenical group drawn from various denominations. At the English service we express this ecumenical fellowship by worshiping on every other Sunday with a eucharist from the Episcopal Book of Common Prayer and on alternate Sundays with a generically Protestant Lord’s Day service of the Word (see Worship). We are at a turning point in our history, looking for the new directions in which God will call and send us. We welcome new members to come and share the journey with us, in whichever part of our congregation they feel most comfortable—English-speaking Episcopal, English-speaking Union Church, or Spanish-speaking Episcopal

Episcopal worship is eucharist-centered

Union Church worship is more informal:
Forming a circle to close the service
