Bible Study and Prayer Groups

We have three groups that meet weekly for Bible study and prayer, two in Spanish and one in English.

Tuesday Evenings at 6:30 P.M. (Spanish)

Most of this group’s members live in the vicinity of the church. They meet in the homes of members, and some gather at the church to walk together to the meeting. The host invites neighbors to come, whether or not they belong to the church. All sing together, read and reflect on a Bible passage, and pray together. Light refreshments are served before  leaving for home around 7:45. For more information call Father Napoleón Brito, 809-685-3293 or 809-689-2070.

Dejando Huellas (“Leaving Footprints”) is the name of the group that meets at this time. They have been together for three years. They gather in the homes of members, staying for three weeks in one home before moving to another. They are an ecumenical group that includes members of other churches. Their goal is to strengthen themselves in the study of God’s word, in faith, and in love, developing a strong sense of fellowship, faith, and dedication. They have studied various biblical themes such as: the Ten Commandments, the Acts of the Apostles, Exodus, and the prophet Jeremiah, etc. The group includes a priest who is their friend and serves as their spiritual guide. Members come primarily from the northeastern sector of Santo Domingo (Bella Vista, El Millón, Las Praderas, Los Restauradores, etc.). For more information call 809-689-2070.

Saturday Mornings at 8:00 A.M. (English)
This group meets over coffee in the Hermanos Villar restaurant, at the corner of Avenida Independencia and Calle Pasteur. Some come early, around 7:30, to have breakfast before the discussion gets underway at 8:00. Each week they use Forward Day by Day as the basis of their study. Prayer is offered for the needs and concerns of the group before the meeting comes to an end promptly at 9:00. For more information contact Deacon Bob Snow, 809-355-9256.
